Jeffery P. Zaring serves as Executive Director of the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation.  A native of Indianapolis, Jeff studied at Indiana University and had a 33-year career with the Indiana Department of Education before joining the IMHF in 2011.  Jeff has been exceptionally involved in masonry since he was raised in Brownsburg Lodge No. 241 F&AM in 1978.  He has served as Worshipful Master (1983), 158th Grand Master of Masons in Indiana and Potentate of Murat Temple (2005).  He was created a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33°, in September 2004.  Jeff and Margie, his wife of 37 years, live in Fishers and attend First United Methodist Church in Noblesville. His primary hobby is playing the bagpipes with the Murat Highlanders.

Cherie Cannon

Cherie Cannon became the Office Manager for IMHF in 2007.  She brought with her several years of accounting experience, along with a brief medical background.  As a longtime member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Group, Post 45, Cherie volunteers and enjoys supporting the community and providing comfort for veterans and their families in need. Cherie, a mother of 3 children, actively participates with her family’s extracurricular activities as a cheerleading and soccer coach, football team mom, and PTA member.  For many years, Cherie attended Bethel AME church in Noblesville where she served in the choir and as junior pastor.  Now she attends Kingsway Church (Avon). Cherie’s a proud member of Plainfield OES Chapter #414.

Megan Schmidt accepted the position as Annual Fund Coordinator for IMHF in April of 2015. She serves as part of the development team by managing the annual giving program and maintaining the donor database system. Megan graduated from Whiteland Community High School in 2008 and immediately began her career at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. It was there that she discovered she had a passion for helping people. She worked at The Indiana Masonic Home for 7 years before coming to IMHF. Megan married her high school sweetheart, Randy, in 2009 and they have two children together. Megan, along with her family and two dogs, live in Franklin. Their primary hobbies include boating and camping.

Eric Vermeulen

Eric Vermeulen is a Development Officer for IMHF.  He holds a B.A. and a J.D. from Indiana University at Bloomington, and has worked in various management positions for the Indiana Health Care Association, the Indiana Department of Health, and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.  Eric is a Past Master of Frank S. Land Lodge #758, is a Past President of the Murat Shrine DeMolay Unit, and is currently serving in the Rose Croix Line of the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite.  He is also a member of Indiana DeMolay’s Grant-Hamill Foundation Board of Directors, and is the Advisory Council Chairman for Speedway DeMolay.  Eric and his wife, Andrea, have three boys—Jake, Griffin and Owen—and live in Brownsburg.

Diana Anderson

Diana Anderson joined the IMHF team in April of 2016 as Development Officer, with primary responsibility of raising major and planned gifts from constituents and friends of the Masonic community in Indiana. She brings 25 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience to the role. Her heart has always led her to support causes which benefit the poor, the elderly, and those disadvantaged on the margins of our society. Diana held previous positions with the Kiwanis International Foundation, Church World Service, and Volunteers of America.

Diana graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Business Administration after growing up in the great Hawkeye state. She enjoys sports of all kinds (almost exclusively now as a spectator only!), loves animals, reading nonfiction/history, and solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles. As well, she plays many addictive games, i.e. Candy Crush, on her iPad mini! Diana lives in Indianapolis with her spouse, two loving and mischievous cats, and one little Pekingese doggie.
